The one racing mission I did was shitty too, since you have this cool race with awesome hot rods and demons then suddenly the game is like "NO TOUCHING NO TOUCHING NO TOUCHING" and getting anywhere near the other car basically fucks everything up. Though you can just upgrade and totally smoke the guy with no issue. Most of the stuff with cars blows, and the other optional missions are just pretty much like ungagging the dragons, in that it's simple and only about driving there.
