They jacked me up to 15 hours a week with 2 hours of drama class :(, so I'd only be earning ~$150/hr IF my earlier hourly wage calculation had factored in my 2.5 months leave/PD. Factoring that in, I'm probably earning ~$180/hr now which I'm confident is more than anyone else on the forum.

I'd say I see about 5 noteworthily fucked up things per day. The amount of work and explanation required to put them in a context that would make sense and be believable to an American isn't worth the bother, so I sometimes just share a few cute, accessible little anecdotes instead. So, the opposite of what you're saying.

I have a fully disposable tax free income of $110k working 20 hour weeks; I live, work, and play with some of the coolest people I've ever met from all around the world and I love them very much.
