Games with well designed difficulty progressions for coop simply aren't that easy to find. Halo on Legendary and Heroic consistently affords a good challenge that is rewarding and unpredictable without breaking my balls with a time investment. The "real" multiplayer, much like Call of Duty, is a vastly superior experience in many ways. But it requires a lot more organizational effort than I am willing to put into it, and I just don't like strangers and acquaintances that much. Firefight mode, Halo's horde knockoff, is probably going to get a lot of traction with us, though.
Plus, my wife really likes coop shooters, to the point where a second xbox was something we both agreed was necessary with the release of RE5. I don't know if you understand how rare that is. |
