They changed the characters too much. Special Agent Ethan Thomas used to be a pudgy everyman with a sensible haircut and crippling PTSD. Now he's exactly none of those things. He's not EVEN voiced by Greg Grunberg anymore! Lame. I'm sure they would have fucked over Rosa just as much if she had any definable traits beyond "black" and "a woman".
The high point of the game is when you're pinned down in that house from The Shining and Scatman Crothers comes crashing through the wall in a snowcat to rescue you. The low point of the game is when he doesn't then die gruesomely like in the movie. Instead the two of you fly off into the sunset together in a helicopter built for two, like McReady and Childs if they were Thomas Jane and LL Cool J in Deep Blue Sea :( |
