| The game was released with some major fixes compared to WoW, but definitely had glaring issues itself. All I can think that they really added since I was playing last with stew on Magnus is the quest line you get in T3 to make it less of a grind. If anything the game's stability both network and graphical has gotten way worse.
They tried to fix balance a little, though the whole idea of separate but equal class mirror's still mystifies their fucking player base, and makes sure no one will ever be happy with balance. They added AOE and CC nerfs, which honestly feel non-existent for the stronger classes and basically have crippled some of the worse classes. Additionally the few end game dungeons involve you being 40, and warded. Warding requires you to do various little things like capture keeps or get RVR/Dungeon gear. It just compounds the grind during a place in the game where your only option is to grind. Furthermore, the quality of open RVR is totally based on the time of day/day of week. If your guys are all logged off, you're just gonna be running your poor character into instant death over and over again, in ORVR and SCs. Even then, as the ORVR proceeds more toward capturing your city, it shuts down SCs, robbing you of the only thing to do really. You can only defend the forts at 37+, even then it's a very enclosed area, and any raid that has it's shit together will have the posterns guarded, so you better make it in there early and be ready to wait. I think I might get back into it if fabhs and zseni take their old characters and make it to mid 30s, I'd like to start an alt, but I don't like any character better than the Squig Herder. |
