I'm writing a review of the Armored Core series (there are a lot! 13 in all, 12 if you don't include Formula Front! Also Nine Breaker but I can review that without playing it), but I haven't played Nexus or Last Raven and I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on it.
I need just a few sentences each for three different aspects:
Gearhead Potential: Were the parts all available at start or did you have to earn the good ones? Did you have to fucking go find hidden parts scattered in bullshit places on certain levels? Was there a shit-ton of parts, more than you could ever possibly mix and match? How much customization was available, could you do cool things with the colors, were there good emblems, did it allow you to program AI Armored Core's, etc. (Rate 0 to 5)
Arena Feature: Was there an Arena feature? How many combatants were there? Was there a good mixture of AC types? Did they fucking CHEAT like in Silent Line? Were the rewards good? Did you feel there was a reasonable progression in difficulty between the easiest and the hardest? (Rate 0 to 5 please)
Missions/Story: Were the missions controller-throwingly difficult? Was the plot passable? (This is a really low bar for Armored Core games remember) Was it just a retelling of old Armored Core plots? Were the missions interesting and new, or did they re-use elements from old AC games like bio-monsters, boring generic underground facilities, and ridiculously huge superweapons? (Rate 0 to 5)
Alternately, if anyone's played any of the old Armored Core stuff and wants to post a differing view from mine, that would be cool too.
