Just like the free clinic therapist I used to have, people are always getting that wrong. I've never heard voices, nor had hallucinations. I've had delusions centering around ideas of reference and government persecution. At least grant me that small advantage above your typical schizophrenic wandering the streets!
Like every other thing you hate, you rant about Doom 3 long after everyone else has stopped caring about it. Here's the truth, though: Doom 3 was a game of dark and unlit corridors. Half-Life 2 was a game of well-lit corridors with box puzzles sprinkled throughout. Doom 3 had monster closets. Half-Life 2 had twitchy vehicle segments that never should be controlled with a keyboard. Half-Life 2 had nicer setpieces overall, but Doom 3 had the nifty Hell segments and dripping tentacle portals. Doom 3's plot may have been mostly non-existent, but at least they were able to wrap it up by the end of the expansion pack. They're both good games. |
