I didn't understand why they came out with XP so soon after 2000 was released, w2k was a great operating system! Windows 2000 is NT 5.0, and XP is 5.1 (server 2003 is 5.2). Vista is 6.0 and this new thing, which by the old numbering scheme should be 6.1 or 6.2 (I think server 2008 is 6.1?), is being called 7.0 Why, I ask? It has a new task bar. Everything else appears to be exactly like Vista. Do we get WinFS yet? No. So WTF. :( |
