I haven't read the comic, but I interpreted it as him freaking out over the magnitude of destruction Ozy was planning. Like he says, he's shot children in Nam, but this was going too far even for him. I want to see a "Watchmen 2" where mere days after the ending a race of friendly squid aliens appears on earth, only to get slaughtered by the newly unified governments of earth. This precipitates an interplanetary war that reduces Earth to a new asteroid belt. Then Dr Manhattan re-appears and says, "Shit."[/quote]
