In the film I actually interpreted him as freaking out over the list, which referred to the people who were being given cancer. that's a bit sick and twisted, or at least not as direct as he prefers. definitely loses the cthuloid cachet of the original "discovery" -- though the ending as presented was better on film.[/quote]
