People (women) threaten to do self destructive things to make a point and see if the others still care. Only dumb people take them seriously. I wasn't paying much attention when I had a job but there were lots of clever things SELF EMPLOYED people could pay someone a percentage of their income to do to turn that income into something other than income. When that percentage is less than the percentage increase in upper marginal tax rates, they'll be motivated to do it, and it happened lots here. I don't know the specifics and it doesn't affect me enough to give a shit, but I'm sure those women know and have successfully trolled you.
