Peter Molyneux's The Movies

First Contact was horrible and you know it.
The good: -Made the borg legitimately creepy for about 15 minutes at the beginning. The bad: -Immediately bringing that all crashing down when they added the slutty individualistic borg queen and had her spend the whole movie humping data's leg. -"Oh gee, this is an extremely sensitive time in human history, the slightest tinkering with which will spell the doom of the federation, which is why the borg picked it. Let's go around snapping photos and shaking everyone's hands and tell them exactly what will happen to them in the future. Woah! Look out for that car, lady!" -Picard blasting a tommie gun and screaming with tears running down the sides of his face. -"...and hey, while we're at it, let's hitch a ride in the original warp-speed craft while talking loudly about how the main point of this is to attract the attention of the Vulcans. 'Okay, they should have seen that, let's head home.'" -"Assimilate this!" and pretty much all the other scenes that involve shooting a bunch of borg then spouting a one-liner. Star Trek is supposed to be more akin to the Twilight Zone, with a spaceship from an optimistic future standing in for Rod Serling as the common thread that connects the shows. Not a bunch of bang shoot kaplowie like the original Battlestar Galactica. -Speaking of which, making a borg-themed bang-shoot kaplowie means we have to strip the borg of one of their scarier qualities (kill one, no problem. Another will take his place who is adapted to your weapons. Then another... then another...) and add a magic off-switch macguffin: the slutty queen! Picard snaps her neck and all the borg are dead! ALL the TNG movies sucked. Lionizing First Contact alongside WoK is like holding up "Revenge of the Sith" alongside "The Empire Strikes Back." Although everyone who's not a fag knows that the best Star Trek movie was part IV.
