DORKNEST on encyclopedia dramatica.
It is weird seeing pretty apt descriptions of people I recognize. Not work safe. I considered adding to this, but ED is just as full as hypersensitive pussies as darknest is so there's not much point. I thought most of the people on dorknest were pretty average and okay for a nerdy website of nerds actually. I guess, anyway. On the other hand, many of the moderators there, with only a couple exceptions that I know of, were incredibly irritating and oversensitive. Always a great quality in a moderator (I MEAN THAT SARCASTICALLY). Someone archived their post about it on blogspot because apparently they got banned for pointing this out. When I think about it, I wonder why I even hung around there as long as I did, especially with how I feel about moderation at all, and watching how people pat themselves on the back for their tolerance about fuckin I dunno whatever the fuck, but when it comes to website forums they want to send people to the gulags and have their knees broken over the most meaningless shit. Jso and I know from years of experience, there are lots and lots of people out there who want to put themselves in a position of power on the internet, and once they have it, they will absolutely delight in banning anyone for anything they feel like, even completely harmless jokes, just because they feel like it (and then there are the many more other times we were banned for trolling). Overall though it made me greatly appreciate clapstro (as I've said around here many times for the past few months). I don't even know if a single post has been deleted here in the past few years, but on darknest they're locking and deleting shit left and right. I'm sure they're justified in some cases but still, there's a threshold that is more easily crossed than not, and it would take more than some overly sensitive MMO pod person/drone to even understand that. Plus there were always people who took the game story seriously, which is inherently embarrassing and is like nails on a chalkboard to read from someone who's not trying to be ironic about it (and by ironic I mean sarcastic). It is like watching someone talk about how they cried from a Tenchi Muyo episode; it was difficult not to correct them on their serious errors in lifestyle choices (i.e. watching anime or thinking anime is any good). I don't know if it's the trainwreck that gaiaonline is. Then again gaiaonline doesn't have a forum dedicated to finding people to have cybersex within the game. Although who am I to talk if I wrote fanfiction? I doubt anyone cares without some kind of PM3 incentive to read this babbling, I didn't really have any hidden agenda or motive this time, all I have is SHAME. ;-; Just take a crowbar and BASH MY HEAD IN, GO ON JUST BASH IT RIGHT IN. I don't know if I should even go into detail about my time spent on darknest. It's possible that the less said about it the better. I don't know because all the funny stuff probably happened on the boards, which I didn't read anyway. The IRC channel itself was like any other IRC channel. The end.
