Re: At least Alan Moore is keeping an open mind

I think that you could see where Alan Moore was coming from, definitely, up until V for Vendetta. That movie wasn't perfect, but it was a reasonable adaptation of the material and he still hated it.
I can understand that, it was about as bad as League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, although in a totally different way (V was incredibly stupid where LXG 8( was incredibly boring). Although one was directed by transvestite weeaboo dipshits, and another was directed by fuckin I dunno who, the guy who did Rush Hour? No wait it was someone else. The guy who directed Blade 1 actually. :(
I don't know, V is one of those movies you feel like an idiot defending (I am feeling like an idiot) but it could be on and I wouldn't instantly change the channel. Democracy Versus Fascism is a stupid concept for a movie, especially since it was Anarchy versus Fascism in Moore's stuff. And V's initial speech with all the "v"s was dumb on screen. It wasn't completely reprehensible, whereas LXG was, sure. I can't remember what I thought of From Hell. It seems like the more they follow Alan Moore's ideas, the better the film is. Which is weird, because screenwriters are normally so accomplished and talented. Watchmen is pure potential right now, but the characters look great, the Mars castle was an example of CGI helping and not hurting, and the bits in the trailer seem to be from scenes I liked in the comic. NONE OF THIS MATTERS TO THE BEARD OF MOORE. How many times has he really been fucked, three? I can't remember if any of his other stuff got made into a movie. But perhaps there was a Swamp Thing movie made at some point. ICJ
