At one point I was asked a question and I immediately thought of the time I met Douglas Adams. Halfway through my meandering spew of nonsense, I realized that I actually had no big finish for the story, because I was too intimidated by Douglas to ask him for anything else but an autograph, and within a couple years he was dead. Then I couldn't remember the original question. In skater terms, I was a guy trying to board down the handrail to some stairs that starts his own personal cubist movement in a heap at the bottom.
