I missed that. Was the other job video editing?
When I was 21, I created a 90m^2+ greenscreen out of 5mm thick plywood boards, housepaint, and 12 500W halogens. I spent a year and a half trying to make skits of myself superimposed on Wolfenstein MP/ET footage for the purpose of wowing my clanmates and the world. This was well before that Red v Blue horseshit and my shit as scripted was much better. However, despite a ton of effort, I have nothing but 20 GB of test footage to show for it. It is a huge regret to me, but even so, no one can pull a key in After Effects like me, so given your video editing ambitions, please have a new-found respect for me. Part of the appeal of DV was that I used to do drama right up to the age where it became too uncool - I won places in Trinity College competitions and everything - and I thought if I played all the parts myself, Eddie Murphy style, I could get around the need to deal with all the faggotry that comes with that scene, but I couldn't pull it off. One of my reasons for coming to Brisbane was to get away from people I know so I could get back into theatre without feeling like a queer and hopefully find a like-minded motherfucker who could keep me on track or failing that, a wife, or failing that, fuck off to Melbourne at the end of the year to become a banker. Do you have a similar dream, Fussbett?
