Street Fighter IV

I always wondered who would win in a fight: Booster Gold or Johnny Cage?
DC vs. MK is about the coolest fighter an eleven-year-old me could imagine, after Marvel vs. Street Fighter, DC vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. MK, MK vs. Street Fighter, or any other combination of those terms. Seeing fans recreate their favourite superheroes in the last MK's character editor is, I guess, where Midway got the idea to make this game. But where on Earths 1-52 did DC get the idea to let them? (Speaking of that character editor, I don't suppose it'll make it in this time. What if someone used it to add Spider-Man? ALL HELL WOULD BREAK LOSE.) This decision actually makes so much sense for Mortal Kombat, my only question is why they didn't do it sooner. What if, instead of lameass Mortal Kombat 3, Boon and Tobias would've had the BRASS BALLS to release Mortal Kombat vs. Star Trek: The Next Generation?* It would have been awesome! Tear off Data's head for your fatality, and Mark Twain pops up to say "Toasty!" Press up+start quick enough, and you're facing off against secret boss Lore - he's just a palette swap of Data, but his fireball is the Crystalline Entity! I can't believe you fags think this crap was better than The Original Series! [* Not as fanciful a notion as you might think. At the time, Midway had the hottest arcade game in America and was the industry leader in digitizing live actors, while Paramount still had the cast of TNG under contract and was merchandising them like crazy. Also, anyone who played a Star Trek game in the nineties knew those actors were up for any old crap.] The point is, people would have played it just to see Kano beat the "sweat" out of Wesley Crusher. But what's gonna happen when Kano goes up against Superman? His only chance will be to pray Supes won't hit a one-eyed bald man. At least by the time Ken Masters fought The Incredible Hulk, he already had a tournament with the X-Men under his belt. No, on second thought, this whole thing is a disaster waiting to happen. :(
