BUMP! Mythos!
Two days and no more movement on this issue? Let's recap the trade... <table cellpadding=10 class="header" align="center"><tr><td align="center"><font color="yellow">YOU GET</font></td><td align="center"><font color="yellow">YOU GIVE</font></td></tr> <tr><td>1) unlimited Mythos play until game goes live 2) limited Quentinbec friendship for 7 days</td> <td>1) one invite to a torrent site</td></tr></table> Perhaps you need to know a little bit more about Mythos? It's by Flagship, the guys who made the Diablo series, but then left Blizzard. Unlike the Cables and most WoW players, who merely <i>type</i> FUCK BLIZZARD, these guys actually fucked Blizzard. Despite the Diablo series selling 17 million copies, there is no Diablo 3. Coincidence? Mythos is the spiritual successor to Diablo, from the makers of Diablo (and unfortunately the makers of Hellgate). It's free and online only, presumably funded by microtransactions or ads in the future. There's no overarching storyline, really, just some loosely connected quests with the hint of a plot. The game is really about the grind for gear, but all super casual. "Epic quests" are recommended for 5-man parties, but don't sweat it. I think it re-captures a lot of the Diablo vibe, because already I feel lots of my Diablo paralysis setting in. Do I gem this socketed item now and potentially waste a gem on an item that might be obsolete within the very next quest?! Do I spend my skillpoints now, or do I log off and research the skilltree for several hours?! Do I quit playing now and sleep or do I stay up for two more hours ruining tomorrow's workday?! If you got excited about any of Mischief Maker's free games, you should certainly be excited about this vastly superior free game. <a href="http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2007/115/937321_20070426_screen006.jpg"><img src="http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2007/115/937321_20070426_screen006.jpg" width="640" height="400"></a>
