Just a lvl 5 Val, some nice equipment - I encountered the ghost of a past character and defeated them picking up some more groovy stuff - the RNG seemed to be in my favour for a change. I was standing at a stairwell and my pet was nowhere in sight - no sense in braving the unknown without a companion so I set off to look. about halfway down a corridor a floating eye appeared: paralysed... "The gnome lord hits, the gnome lord hits, the gnome lord hits..." [uh-oh] "You cat hits the gnome lord, the gnome lord is dead" [phew, thank you!] "The goblin throws a dagger. You are hit by a dagger." "you die." I die too many times to get upset by it now :-D[/quote]
