Re: The first ever halfway negative review of HL2?

Gordon Freeman appears to be covered with a powerful adhesive substance, because he has a tendency to stick to everything. For instance, he constantly gets hung up on AI helper characters, who tend to mill about stupidly and block the way. Taking potshots at a Gunship or Strider is perfectly challenging on its own, but expect to be chewed to pieces time and again when you try to duck for cover and three helpers are standing in the way. But they're not the only danger: even a shallow, 1-inch-deep raised groove in the wall can become a deadly impediment that causes Freeman's sticky shoulders of doom to become hung up in the heat of battle. And you'll be amazed at how difficult it can be to get past some of the interactive debris strewn about the game. For instance, a sheet of metal laying flat against the ground can bring your forward momentum to a halt.
This was a major problem in Bloodlines too. Especially in all the "run down building" levels where debris littered the ground, and ESPECIALLY in that damn condemned hospital.
