Re: Hey ICJ

I have been overtaken by an overwhelming urge to try out The Lurking Horror and Suspended. Are these things available for download somewhere, or do I need to construct a time machine?
You're in luck! While those games aren't technically freeware (like Zork 1, 2 and 3 are, thanks to Activision's generosity) they are easily obtained. In fact, they are so easy to get that I am just going to host them so you don't have to encounter any spammy links or nonsense. Suspended The Lurking Horror OK, those two .dat files need an interpreter. If you are running Windows, I recommend Winfrotz. Just open the .DAT files with Winfrotz, after installing Winfrotz. Those two games also have manuals that are required - for Suspended, I think it encourages you to use one of the pages to keep track of the bots, and the Lurking Horror asks you for your ID number or something at some point. Hi-res, color scans for the two games are available here: Suspended manual The Lurking Horror manual Enjoy! the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
