Good luck!

I've been messing with my K2000 for years, I wonder what kinds of goodies the K2500 has that the K2000 doesn't.
Just picked it up on Saturday. Fuck the Motif. Here are the differences, the main one being that I can stick the KDFX expansion in there. I'd have preferred a K2600 due to the TRIPLE MODE!!!! algorithms and layer-chaining opening up a lot more possibilities, but I didn't want to spend that much. -/ES/-
Most of those goodies seem to have something to do with the sampling capability. CC control of start point is really nice: it makes it an ersatz Wavestation. Here's a protip from a hardware sampler user: Make the samples in a wave editor (e.g. CoolEdit/Audition, Wavelab) and then load them into the sampler. Playing samples with a hardware sampler's fx: super fun! Trimming and naming a lot of audio files on a tiny lcd screen: hell on earth. SCSIforSamplers.com has external media card drives for the Kxxxxs. Let me know if you need any help with programming the thing. It can be stupid hard to program. Another tip: when you're in the menus with the focus on a source dropdown (where you can choose from CC1(mod wheel)-CC190(something obscure like ClockDown)), hold down the ENTER button and move the control you want to assign rather than scrolling, it's much faster.
