Re: More multiplayer notes.

The first shooter I had experience with decent scoring was Call of Duty 3, where medics get points for reviving and support gunners get points for supplying ammo to other players. I imagine TF2 takes this to a level of awesomeness?
Yes. Although Batolfield 2 and 2142 really did that first, but it split all your points into kills, team points, and global points or some shit. Then they made some of the requirements for ribbons really fuckin ridiculous (like 150 hours played on one specific map or class or team or some fuckin gay ass shit like that). It only made their scoreboards more confusing to the eye O_O until you figured out what column of points was for what, but the whole scoreboard is still a giant jumbled mess of player names with ranks global points career points team points kills deaths pings bloo BLOO. In TF2, you just get points for playing correctly. If you heal as a medic you get points, if you heal as an engy you get points, if you resupply as an engy you get points, blowing people up you get a point, capping a cap point you get points. The only thing I don't think it gives you points for is if you jump in front of a teammate to take a bullet or rocket to save them, or any "diversionary" tactic (psh?) where you rush off to the side to try to distract enemies from the frontal assault. Any kill credit goes to the person who did the most damage plus anyone who did a bunch of secondary damage, so you get a point for kill assists or kills. Medics who are actively healing someone who gets a kill automatically get a kill assist.
