In fact, I think the general reaction was more along the lines of, "Well, it looks like Ray is hanging in there, for some reason." There was never any real upside in it for him. I'm baffled why he chose to take Zseni's bait at all, and that it only took a couple of posts for him to go to fat jokes (I guess?) instead of the mythical "Ray! of light"-style prose that may not have ever existed, but certainly was hinted at enough for an aura of greatness to grow around him. That aura is gone for good, now, btw. :( Probably for the better, considering how sad your post above is. Now you can just read his shit like everyone else's.
