Atari: The 80 Classic Games

To clarify
You can put whatever games you want on the flashcart. The disk images for individual games are here. There is a pretty good Atari 800 emulator for the PC, so you can play along with me once you grab it and the appropriate .ATR disk image. I bought the 2600 joystick new from a guy on eBay. If you put "atari 2600 joystick" into a search he'll come up, as he's selling a dozen of them at a time. The stick he sells has very "faint" microswitches. I personally prefer them to the vintage joysticks, as the switches give you great feedback. The 2600 joystick is really the best single-button joystick ever made. Everything breaks down once you want to shoot as well as jump, but considering its limitations I think it still holds up. I bought a pair of paddles from this guy at Best Electronics. The paddles were in mint condition and very tight. I love them. If you'd like your own FlashCart, go here. The AtariMax guy is also selling a couple of pre-made carts for Ultima 4 and M.U.L.E. They have die-cut stickers attached and look great. I got the M.U.L.E. one as I thought I'd be too stupid to get the other, blank flash cart from my order working right away. The Ultima 4 cart has been hacked so that there is no disk swapping that needs to be performed. You can setup software and virtual hardware to provide many fake disk drives, but some games still expect shit to be in the first drive. The U4 hack eliminates this and considering the shitty color options on the PC, this is probably the best way to play the game in 2007. If you, er, had the accompanying Atari 800. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
