Another Caltrops dream
Ray of Light invited me to play basketball with his community basketball team. They rent a gym out for an hour and sweat like men. So I get there, and we're in this lounge area, and I see that Ray's friends are all older gentlemen, and I conclude that Ray doesn't tolerate immaturity. Ray looked like Ray from that photo with the hat. On my computer screen (?) I'm reading the discussion between Ray and one of his gray-haired basketball pals, in AIM log format. I think it was being spoken simultaneously, since I'm not supposed to be able to read in dreams, right?
Ray of Light: I saw Fahrenheit 9/11, and it was just ok. Michael Moore is too much of a fan boy for it to be an effective documentary. He doesn't learn enough about the subject, and thus doesn't convey or teach enough to the audience about the topic. I knew just as much coming out as I knew going in. Just not enough information. oldguy: Compare that with the brilliant Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which turns a lack of content into a beautiful story. oldguy: It just goes to prove that "Engines snd Imagination" Ray of Light: [something agreeing here which I forget]
I pretended to understand what "snd" meant, and somehow figured it was sko math term, like lim or cos than should be read as "are/is superior to". So I figured the old guy was saying building something, anything, is better than just thinking about building something you can't complete. Or maybe just the old writing adage "show us don't tell us". But I wasn't sure, so I kept quiet to not look stupid. I woke up before the basketball.
