Re: New patch

Other major problems not fixed: -Direct connect only allows for 2 person games, if anyone trying to play happens to be behind NAT (like, oh, half the world that uses routers). Idiotic developer oversight, <strong>OR</strong> subtle ploy to make pirates buy the game? We'll never know (unless they fix it in the next patch). -Listening posts can be built and cancelled on resource points currently being decapped, effectively making captured points permanent for any player with a decent sense of timing. Developer response: "It's not an exploit, it's a <em>feature!</em>"
Regarding the first: Four of us played this game over the weekend. Three of us were on a LAN (one of the LAN guys was serving) while one of us was connecting accross the internet. The remote guy had to connect first or the game would tell him to fuck off . . . it took us a while to figure out that those of us on the LAN had to exit the server to let him in, then we could rejoin. It didn't occur to me at the time, but if what you're saying is true, then a second remote player would just not be able to connect at all. What a load of shit. And the server was already on the router's DMZ, too. Nice work, Relic. The other complaint sounds interesting, but I don't understand. Won't the guys nuking your Strategic Point also just kill your Helper fag when he goes to build the listening post? Maybe you should explain this again real slow for me.
