Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles- first two hours impressions
I think the idea of a 4 player action RPG where everyone gets their own screen for menus is so theoretically awesome that it's convinving everyone that this game is the second coming. So far, I have yet to be impressed. Does it get more fun later on? Or does combat never move beyond the one-button push swinging weapon/charged attack? If thewhole game is like the first two hours (the first "year"), then I'd give this thing a 5 to 6 out of 10. I had this big ten paragraph breakdown on the basics of the game and why I thought the way I did about each one, but the preview button brought me to a blank post and the whole fucker was erased. This game is genius only in the sense of marketing. God k nows how many extra gameboy to gamecube cables and GBA's they're selling off of this. I don't even see why the gameboys are mandatory. They make the menu thing a little easier, but they easily could have managed it without them. Fun retarded manufacturer fact #1: every single store that sells gameboys is sold out of the cables, yet dozens of copies of CC are available. That means that there are more CC copies than cable, which you need at least one of to play. But who the fuck is going to play this single player? There needs to be 4 cables per copy, and manufacturers couldn't even handle one quarter of that. Fun retarded manufacturer fact #2: If you own a GBA SP then you're in for an avoidable, but idioctic dilemma. The cables were designed for the original GBA models. On the gameboy end they're very wide to allow them to clip into the top. What this means is that on the SP model they block the port for the recharger cord so that you cannot play off of an AC outlet. Since the SP only runs on its own internal rechargeable battery, if your battery runs out you have to unplug it from the gamecube, plug it into an outlet, and wait for it to recharge before you can play again. I suppose you could fully charge it after each session, but doesn't it kill a battery to do that when it's not fully drained? Or have modern rechargeables worked around that problem? Whichever's the case, fucking retarded.
