Re: A near point-form whoreview

I picked up DMC3:Special Edition about a month ago and it hasn't left my tray since. I'm going through on hard right now and not having too many troubles. Dante is almost maxed out at this point, although I doubt I'll ever be able to get that last blue crystal shard (the one earned by killing all the bosses while in hell).
Try easy mode. You can still grab all the shards there and have it carry over.
* How on earth is the Artremis any good? I've upgraded it as far as it will go and it still blows. GameFaqians (Faqouis?) seem to believe it is the ultimate gun.
I've heard that the shotgun and artemis are the best guns with gunslinger style equipped, and have seen videos of people rocking with them. Though it seems like you have to spend every fight with the circle button held down for charged shots, so that sounds dumb and I'll stick with swordmaster.
* Beowulf might have more fun moves than any weapon in any game yet imagined.
Nevan
* Am I the only one that sucks at fighting the time stopping horse? He might be the hardest boss fight for me.
I found him to be one of the easier onces. Just keep running when he launches rockets, staying close to him, but far enough back so that when he stops and does his little skid turn you don't get caught in it. After he does his massive area bombardment, run up and do a skull(helm?)splitter (jump + triangle). and start hacking. That'll usually make him fall. Hack some more. Repeat and try your best to dodge the slowdown globes when they appear. If I had to rank the bosses in difficulty they'd probably go something like Last boss Cerebus (real bitch fighting him when you're still new to the game, still a bitch after) Agni & Rudra (the camera being so closely zoomed in and not letting you see them whenever you jump is the real pain when fighting them) The Hell Vangard (grim reaper) on the harder difficulties Beowulf Nightmare Next to last boss (surprisingly easy. His flying heatseeking tentacles are the only attack to fear) Heart Chamber (could probably beat it without taking a single hit if you wanted, but you always get greedy hacking at those hearts since they take about a billion hits) Nevan (tough at first, but once you have the patterns down she's one of the easiest) Centipede (if only for those heatseeking purple orbs that always screw up your attack) Vergil (1st & 2nd encounter) Lady Shadow Dante
I wish this game allowed you to turn the music off without killing the soundeffects. It's sort of a drag.
That's half the fun :(
