OK HOW ABOUT THE MOTHERBOARD?

The graphics card you have selected is underpowered already and will not serve for too much longer. That's a bad are to be stingy these days, unfortunately.
Fortunately it's also an easy upgrade later. It was a Christmas present, so we're just working with it for now. Try not to make my mother cry, Mysterio. Thanks, though. No thanks to Ray who seems to think I run a porn site or a DivX group. Let's look at a hypothetical motherboard: <h3>AsusĀ® P5GDC Deluxe, Socket 775, IntelĀ® 915P Chipset w/ PCI Express x16 (ATX)</h3>
The P5GDC Deluxe supports the latest DDR2 as well as the current DDR1, offering flexibility for users who need different memory performance and future upgrade option. And of course, the P4GDC Deluxe leveraged AI Proactive features, unique innovations on ASUS motherboards, that cools down system temperature by 10oC without an extra fan, and dynamically overclocks the system according to CPU loading.
I picked this because I always go with Asus or Abit, for tradition, and I like leveraged features, but most importantly the dynamic overclocking sounds awesome (if not too good to be true) and I can use DDR2 ram. It would be nice to re-use the RAM I'm abut to buy in a future system. Also, I can't tell what's good about the more expensive motherboards aside from that little extra bus speed. This is 800 Mhz. Is that ok?! It seems like I drop features like 10C cooling and dynamic overclocking when I move to the higher bus speed.
