In 2000 the Saints finally won a playoff game after like 34 years. In 2001 they were 7-5 and poised to go to the playoffs and do some damage. Then Joe Horn and/or Joe Johnson slept with Willie Roaf's ex-stripper wife. Instant locker room bedlam and the team lost its last four games by an average score of 40-13. In baseball you can't really tank it. I mean, the pitcher is up there, you're at the plate, you're going to try to hit the ball because otherwise your stats are fucked to shit and you'll be embarrassed. But in football I have seen teams time and time again quit on their coach and I just do not think there will ever be a stat that encompasses the odds of the star wide receiver sleeping with the star left tackle's wife and therefore decreasing the potency of the running game. It's a brutal game and you've got teams like this year's Raiders who are just trying to get out of each game uninjured, scores be damned. Plus, hurricanes, natch. ^____^ ICJ [/quote]
