They were near worthless before where you were much better off manning a vehicle machinegun for AA. Moving at any angle other than "directly away" or "directly towards" a SAM site was proof enough against ever getting hit by it. Even in those two cases, just dump a flare and you're invincible until a second later where you destroy the SAM site and the guy manning it. The only way to shoot down a jet was with another jet, not even the ground based AA vehicles could touch them. Get shot down once and if the other guy decides to keep destroying your plane on the ground inbetween bombing runs then you're fucked. If your team's jet is stolen you're doubly fucked. The blackhawk gun is still pretty ridiculous. I'd support either a boost in the MEC/China transport choppers to match or a slight nerf for blackhawk gun. I don't get the other changes though. Hitpoints were fine since the last patch, reducing TV missile ammo from 14 to 8 for helicopters will change nothing, and range? Maybe some people were getting crazy halfway across the map beyond the fog kills? Was TV guided range even an issue?[/quote]
