Ultimate Spider-Man

Once the webslinging becomes boring, the game is over.
Spider Man 2 had the advantage of hooking you on the gimmick of webslinging around new york and not having timed races going everywhere. It also had atrocious story-missions which had you web-sling a chain of robots out to the statue of liberty to punch mysterio in the face. He had set up a base in her crown or something. I guess that means he took over a restaurant? I've never been to new york. :( I also remember a bunch of QT3'ers agreeing vehemently on how CLASSY it was for them to replace the twin towers with two beams of light. So if you're looking for classiness, Spider Man 2 is your kind of game ! Ultimate Spider Man, on the other hand, has an ugly city with webslinging and combat that might be easier but still manages to feel even less intuitive and rewarding. Some people might be duped into thinking the ugliness of the city is in fact "style". These people would, naturally, be wrong. The bottom line is that both games are crap once you dig into them. But if you haven't web-slung around a city before you'll probably have some fun doing that. The new Hulk game is pretty good. You should trade in your copy for that.
