Who's fault?
I don't much care who's fault it is, I'm more interested on who's fault it's not. AHL has pretty unique movement and spawn code so it is not surprising if some update Valve does messes it up without affecting other mods. It is nobody's fault, really. You could blame the A-Team for not making spawns like everybody else (that would have been boring IMO) or you could blame Valve for not exploring every little mod for details, but I'm not the blaming type. Same thing with HL1.1. AHL used a monster hitbox for prone and diving people and Valve decided to remove that hitbox for multiplayer to futher optimise netcode. Who could have predicted that they were going to do that? The patch did break many of the smaller mods. Most of them didn't need much more than little adjusting to recover, but some were demolished, never to be heard from again. AHL was one of those that got hit hard. And what exactly was wrong with beta 4? Many AHL players consider it their favorite beta.
