My favourite part is this insight into Michael Bay:
I write my own action. That thought came to me as I was driving next to a truck that had rail wheels. My mind is very fertile, so I'm, like, "That's very dangerous." I sent someone to do some research, and found out those train wheels weigh a ton each.
One of us non-directors with infertile minds would see those train wheels on a truck and think (if you can even call it that) "Hmm, those train wheels go on trains", or maybe "Those train wheels are being transported somewhere" -- neither of which could be turned into an action sequence. Bay, on the other hand, immediately saw the potential and got his RESEARCHER onto the case. Turns out the Michael Bay instincts were correct as usual: Those wheels are really fucking heavy. He knew that just by THINKING.
