Universal Plan B is annoying me in this thread
I'm not going to respond to all your posts all over the place, just here:
Half Life was and is a far far better game than SS2. I'm glad that it is the big influence that other games have followed. But it was really nothing more than a very very good FPS. Cinematic atmosphere? Are we talking about the train ride here?
I'm sure he's not talking about the part where you walk out of that cavern area and Marines are repelling on ropes from a helicopter and being attacked by aliens. That's not at all like a movie. Neither are the other countless moments like that in the game.
It was good enough for Doom3 to copy, wasn't it?
I'm pretty sure you're joking here, right?
What games can you think of that are perfect?
I can think of one not on your list.
Erik's point is a good one, but it has a massive weak point. Just like movies everyone's idea of a crippling flaw is different. Some people think Neo's long conversations are deep and enlightening. I mean, the Wachoskis wrote it so at least they must like it, right?
YOU'RE a massive weak point. I think the above is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. "The people who made this game/movie obviously liked that feature, so you can't just say it's BAD." You also tried to godwin with Citizen Kane, but "some people" who hate it because it's ultimately about a sled (which it clearly isn't) are sub-humans. You might not want to submit them as evidence that you have a point.
Nobody complains about the creature AI in Doom 3, except to say that there isn't any. Far Cry had complexity, which paradoxically meant that flaws are easier to see.
Seriously, what's the matter with you?
I was trying to do something that I thought made sense, but it didn't work. Is that my problem, or the game's problem?
Here's a life tip for you, which you can employ in any situation in the future involving you and anything else: it's your problem.
JK2 force powers has upgradeable points that you used to gain and develop powers, while JK1 just gave you the powers. The force powers themselves were based on the force in movie Star Wars, of course.
You know what else was in the movie Star Wars? Upgradeable Force powers. Anyway, someone else has already pointed out how you were wrong on every single point regarding SS2, JK, and JK2, thereby destroying you and your entire family. I'm just here to point and laugh.
