The Geforce4 Ti 4600+ is a damn fine card (Some of the cards that BF2 supports are actually worse than a GF4 Ti.). It runs any of the other modern top graphical games just fine (Farcry, Doom3, HL2, and even the upcoming F.E.A.R.), but can't run BF2 becaues it supports only pixel shader 1.3 and not 1.4? Fuck that. Was it seriously impossible to allow people to disable that to get the game running? This better be the best damn pixel shading in the universe (reports from people who got it working: it's still not up to HL2 standards). Some people have got it to start up by "tricking" the game into thinking you have it with a pixel shading emulator, but apparently when you go to join a game it "rechecks", undos the emulator settings, and kicks you out to desktop. An obvious NVIDIA conspiracy >:( . Realizing that their Ti line was just too good, they needed a reason for owners to buy a new one, a quick palm greasing to EA, bingo![/quote]
