On the downside, the gay Mighty Morphin Power Rangers dancing and flipping that all of the bosses do is motion captured. Do the Japanese think that's cool or something?
The main reason i haven't been able to pick up the Gamecube remake (aside from the OUTRAGEOUS and unaffordable over $20 price tag) is mostly because i still remember the preview movies. Every (single fucking) cutscene had SLO MOTION BACKFLIPPING no matter how much it wasn't needed. i can understand wanting to make an exciting action scene, but people don't do that many backflips when being shot at, or in response to a question that wasn't even about backflipping. And i can't even blame japanese wAckYness, it was developed by the canadians. i bet an american made version would probOH WAIT SPLINTER CELL nm
It was developed by Silicon Knights (who did Eternal Requiem), but the cutscenes were directed by the guy who did Versus. I heard that Hideo Kojima saw early versions and asked him to add more backflips and cartwheels. When Twin Snakes was announced I remember joking on some message board that Kojima was going to put in all the gayness that he had originally envisioned but was forced to leave out due to the technical limitations of the PS1 hardware. Turns out I was right.
