Prof Robertson, Sorry for waiting until the last minutes for disscussing my topic and checking if it meets the intent of the course. I was thinking of writing about pornography, the supreme court and constitution. My paper will probably argue/discuss themes of: substantive rights, privacy, the first and ninth amendments, the regulation of certain hardcore acts and individual rights vs. communitarianism. Perhaps also touch on the state's role in regulating sexual expression. Personally, I'm like the original undertanding paradigm and conservative-libertarianism so my paper could be interesting. In addition, the court answered that "community standards" is still legitimate in the internet age--- I'm certain that's would also be a relevant topic in my paper. I'll probably use: Miller v. CA, Ashcroft v. ACLU, the 2002 Librarian decision as relevant cases. I'm still tied up with exams and haven't researched much but will narrow everything down for the paper. Thank You Joe Yance / 009 862 670 I forgot to proof-read the email for grammatic errors. The prof will probably give a "go" signal (highly probable); the prof is a man so it might be easier in that sense. At least I'm really interested in the paper because of the topic! Its not like I'm going to watch/view explicit porn for the assignment; e.g. "Weapons of Ass Destruction", "College Fuck Fest" or Taylor Rain being a slutty college student with carnal needs! ***UPDATE*** I just got an email approving the paper from my prof.
