Jhoh Cable (11:40:07 PM): We just don't like people.
Testify! Autism (federal) criteria (DSM IV), if you're interested. All that said, I have no trouble interacting with people, and have pretty much developed the ability to instantly 'snap' from no social contact outside of V for months on end to chatting up everyone at one of my family's reunions. I just generally prefer not to - nobody is going to say anything worth hearing. I want to daily learn whole new sciences and bodies of knowledge (guns, networking, classical philosophy, I even got into football a bit, etc.) because I know that doing so is likely to cause dendrite growth and give me better interconnections in my overall neural network. The better that brain becomes, assuming a limitless amount of knowledge to feed on, the faster it will process new knowledge - it's an exponential growth curve. Talking to people interferes with this. The one thing most people are full of is misinformation, and they must therefore be avoided when possible. "Yes but Barbie if you meant that you wouldn't spend so much time playing computer games." I don't play games as much now as I used to, but it's true that like every person with my little ailment I'm a born addict to anything and everything that brings pleasure. Mostly I'll take a game, play the hell out of it for 2-3 days and then barely touch it again ever. --SB
