Re: Bored at work, talkin' dnd on company time, jesus what am I doing with my life?

So far, the only thing that's pissed me off is the Assassin prestige class. In the previous version, the Assassin cast arcane spells like a wizard, had a spell book, and the primary spellcasting attribute was Intelligence. In the new version, they fuck everything up by having the Assassin cast like a Sorceror but retaining Intelligence as the primary attribute. This annoys the fuck out of me.
They probably did that because otherwise everyone's Assassin character would have to juggle his stats around trying to free up points to boost their pathetic 8 Charisma up to something useful. I don't know why they made them spontaneous casters though... maybe becasue assassin's have such a small spell list to begin with.
What I'm thinking is: a) it's a prestige class, so requiring a rare combination of stats isn't uncalled for and b) why are assassins casting spells all over the place anyway? I'm thinking I might add some monk abilities or something. I haven't figured out yet what I want to do with it. I have a player who has an assassin character, so I need to make some kind of decision soon. I don't want to screw the guy over (too much).
