Animal Crossing Yakuza

I think (and I'm only guessing here) that his point is that this site definitely contains examples of libel, since the "reviews" are accurate, as far as they go, but for comically exaggerated effects the authors have a tendency to make statements about the games that aren't technically true. (For instance: Animal Crossing doesn't actually have any Yakuza in it). It's basically true, and it's very funny, but it's technically libel since we dissed the game while saying things that aren't exactly right.
Senor Barborito told me in IM that you nailed his thoughts with this point, so I'll reply to you. I did not think we needed to define defamation. I thought the debate was regarding parody versus slander, and whether or not satire was protected from libel lawsuits. Without satire protection, everyone who cracks a joke or makes an exaggeration is in big trouble, yes.
...but I really emphatically doubt that anyone could (let alone would) sue you over it, especially before a cease-and-desist came down the pipe.
And this is where I think you've nailed it.
