Re: Oh, and insights into fighting:

Oh, and easy? Sure, Normal maybe, but Hard mode was exactly that. I found even normal was a hassle when fighting the 23923912308912508 Smiths near the end. Unless you missed that part?
Except you never fight them. This game's approach to taking on agents is to just run away. When you get to the back door corridor (huh huh huh) and a bunch of smiths start coming out i thought "sweet! I get to reinact the best scene from the movie!". Nope, just run away. Not even controlling running away, a cutscene does it for you.
I returned the rental copy before beating the Smiths on hard (I played through twice: once on normal, once on hard, so I could see both sets of cutscenes. Yes, gay). The problem wasn't that you couldn't fight all the Smiths (neither could Neo, and he's the Ubermensch), it was getting gunned down by them while running away. That little Disarm trick doesn't work on Agents. Plus, the instructions you get as to where to go sucked. I have no idea how such a linear game could screw that up, but there you go. Took me 3 tries to beat the Smith levels. The hardest part about them was me not being able to tell where I was supposed to go. Two of those times I died because I took a leap of faith off the scaffolding at the skyscraper. The helicopter was much worse. Oh, and great final "boss" fight.
That. Fucking. Blew. It should have ended with Seraph and the Oracle bits, because those at least opened up some new ideas. (WTF is up with the "child"?) The Tunnels of the Real were a waste of time.
