But I do derive some satisfaction from whomping the crap out of ex girlfriends (especially the Asian chick who dumped my character to become a lesbian) for cash. Less than a minute apiece for 2700$.
I just found out this little pleasant surprise: if you buy Joe Budden's album, you'll find an advertisement for future Def Jam releases, and on the back of the ad are three great combos to use with his character in the game. And yeah, I realize that wouldn't help you at all in trying to beat these handicapped matches. Upon rereading what I wrote I noticed that I didn't clarify the running-away part of my strategy very well, so let me try again: Do a weak grapple on whomever your character is focused on first. Do just a standard move - I just tap X. Now run away from the three guys - aim away from them and press O to start running, press O to stop once you've broken free of the crowd. By the way, when doing the grapple move, try to aim it so that you always have a clear path of retreat once you finish it. When you run, you should always be able to get some distance - I've never noticed the enemy running to keep up with you. Once you've gotten away from them, turn to face them and press R2 until you're focused on the nearest enemy. Do a weak grapple on him, do a simple move, run. Basically lather-rinse-repeat until you've worn at least one of them down a bit, then do your best to focus solely on doing hard grapple moves on him to really hurt his health and to build up your momentum. The moment you can get Blazing mode, do so. Even if none of your enemies' health is in Danger!, you will still cause them to run from you. This means that you can focus solely on one guy with your best moves/combos, and it shouldn't be hard for you to reduce their health greatly enough that the KO move will win the match for you. If you already figured out this much about the running-away strategy and are still having problems, then I'm out of ideas.
