HA!

"it's too dark to go on! You'll have to climb down a level and find that flashlight the cop dropped!".
Is your character wearing sunglasses at that point?
good point, I'm stickng that in my review
The way the game intertwines with the movie actually sounds really good. That makes the execution all the more disappointing.
*spoilers*, but you really shouldn't give a shit The intertwining is a joke. The first hour is spent picking up a package that contains the recon photos from the Osiris they briefly showed in the movie (also the package that asian chick dropped in the mailbox in Last Flight of the Osiris if you're a big enough fanboy to have watched that). The next hour is spent rescuing one of Soren's (the captain who's whole crew died in the matrix when their operator got skewered then ship blown up by a squid bomb) men from an agent at the airport. Then the keymaker shows up (escaped from that french dude apparently) then is immediately recaptured by the French dude's men and the key taken away, meaning the whole scene was pointless. Oh yeah and Persephone demands a kiss from Ghost. I don't think the creepy incest masturbation conversation needs repeating. Thing is though, Persephone mentions that Ghost is in love with someone that he knows he can never have, but never quite says who. Is it Niobe? Trinity??! I really hope by "brother" and "sister" they ment LIKE a brother/sister. Then the oracle's bodyguard mock fights someone else just like in the movie, and just like in the movie it feels completely pointless. The movies aren't really worth the price of admission either. You know how every time you watch live FMV in games, you can always tell that they're all acting in front of a blue screen and feel sort of embaressed for them? I know they're using the same actors and sets as the movie, but since I havent been watching a movie the entire time, when I go through a door in the game to be greeting by live action Niobe bursting out of a door pointing her gun at imaginary pursuers on the other side, I get that same feeling. The actor's who plays Sparks attempt at sarcasm when trying to persuade you NOT to go on a dangerous mission really gets grating. This guy does know that they're all in the military, right? "We can't fly into enemy territory! They'll be like, shooting at us! It's dangerous!". The fact that he looks like a young, doughy John Turturro does not help. A lot of the movies are just clips from the film: Smith copying himself onto that guy, the mack truck head on collision, etc. A lot seem like filler crap that were cut from the film: we get a scene with Lock saying he loves Niobe and he's ordering her not to participate in the counter attack, which is just as boring as having to listen to Link's wife do the same thing. The only worthwhile movies are ones that show the fleet preparing for the counter attack. I haven't beaten it yet so hopefully it shows you the whole fiasco where it went wrong. Why the fuck couldn't they stick that in the movie? Show, don't tell. Cut out the oracle bodyguard fight, and you easily could have shown a 1-2 minutes scene of an EMP accidently going off and mayham as sentinels tore through the hulls and slaughtered everyone. Oh, I get it. We have to buy the game for that. Fuck you Wachoshachoshashivitzskimolyneux brothers.
