Re: How's about Kyle Turley?

I liked Turley before he became such a goddamned cunt. The altheticism, the work ethic, the intensity. Fuck, the <i>tatoos</i>. His interviews used to be short and to the point: "<i>I'm not out here to make friends, I'm here to beat your fuckin' ass.</i>" Like an O-Line version of Warren Sapp - he was someone you'd fucking hate if he was on any other team, but you were glad he was on yours. Then came that briefly entertaining Jet's Helmet thing, and his rock-star status that it spawned. Oh, and that whole "not protecting the quarterback" element he added to his game.
Yeah, he's garbage. There's been less whining by the guys banned upstairs than Turley lately over some food he had in training camp a couple years ago. I'll agree that there is plenty of evidence that indicates that our owner is cheap, but if Turley wanted a steak sammich so bad or something, fuck, he's a multi-millionaire. This isn't a bunch of overbearded proles throwing their boots and overalls into the assembly machines while Aidan Hughes sketches them. You have to wonder about him pissing over the heat in Louisiana -- he's seems like one of those types who'd never want to go to Buffalo or Detroit because of the cold; it's as if he's personally offended that football is played anywhere outside of California. I hate him for getting on the air a couple months back, savaging everybody, and tanking his trade value. I think there's a lot of teams out there who would be able to get more from their QB with a sturdy right tackle next to him, and the Saints seemed willing to take a 2004 draft pick. But, of course, he's crazy, so I understand. And all it comes down to is money: if Loomis offered him three million more in signing bonus he'd be back to singing his song about what a lousy, finesse team the Rams were. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
