Been there, done that and it was *better*. I take it you haven't played Deadlock 2, though? Not as sophisticated as AC but with (in broad strokes) a simillar plot, and AI that's probably the dumbest I've ever seen in any game, ever. On the other hand, it had a really cool tech tree, neat alien races, and strategic battle cutscenes made-to-order. What I mean is: you throw a bunch of balistic missiles, some fighters and bombers, a bunch of tanks and infantry and whatever else all into your enemy's city space, then watch as the computer makes a little movie showing the ensuing battle. It's just the coolest thing. Sadly, you have hardly any tactical control of the units. But that's okay considering the trade-off.[/quote] nope, never heard of it[/quote]
