Re: Are you the new SB Literaltarian?

Some people write their charts in Finale or Sibelius, that would be one way. A lot of others use their CEPro/Cubase/Pro Tools setups to make demos and track shit up to where the song starts coming together.
Did you think Jack White was doing that? On the days that Meg can't come over to jam he fires up Finalé and starts charting Ball and Biscuit? My grand "DUH" about the writing aspect was that it was the GAYEST part of the boast. No one thought for a second that computers would be involved in the writing of these White Stripes songs. Next up he can tell us that he doesn't own a TV, and secondly he doesn't watch reality shows on the TV he doesn't own, and thirdly he will never appear on a reality TV show that he doesn't watch.
Apparently you didn't read the entire post, ReactoBot. I *do* imagine that Jack White uses a cassette 4-track or something similar to write songs and make demos, since everyone does and has since the 70's. Those of us that are poor and know how to operate a PC use multitrack software instead of an analog 4-track. Still, it's not worth boasting about. We can agree that it's gay.
Once I hear it as an MP3 from my computer speakers I know these efforts were all worthwhile!
I'm sure he'll be very disappointed that you, his most favorite and ideal listener, will be missing out.
