I didn't have any real opinion of these assholes before this song -- the uncut version of 'Semi-Charmed Life I thought was OK, but everything else they've done (and I'm reluctantly admitting that I do otherwise pretty much dig what is called "pop punk" or emo) was unremarkable. I know their second CD sold worse than their first one, but the tactic they have employed to get back to where they were selling is apparently sko Scorched Earth "annoy the entire fucking country" plan. I don't see how pop music, beyond boy bands and the Spears/Aguilera segment, survives this song. Worse, I don't see how it should survive, or that it <i>deserves</i> to. If 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' killed off hair metal, then surely 'Blinded' here has done the same to pop -- and worse, it did it from within. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey! [/quote]
