How about Aliens vs Predators 2? Tell if it sucks before I get too far into it. junior allen
The game as a whole is a more solid single-player experience than AvP1, but doesn't quite capture the exact feel of the movies that the original did. The predator cloak merely has him fade to a semi-transparant state, no blue electricty dancing around, no "heatwave" affect. Plus the plasmacaster is way fucking overpowered (even more so considering you get nearly unlimited energy). I never bothered with any other weapon. I assume you're just asking about the single player campaigns. They're a lot like AvP1's in therms of quality. The marine's are by far the best (dips a little when you fight nothing but hostile humans for like an hour, I had nasty Red Faction flashbacks at that part). The predator is fun until you start fighting aliens (set vision to EM mode, equip plasmacaster, mash button), I'd stop playing it once you run into them. The Alien's are kind of fun at first where you pop out to kill clueless people, but like the original quickly degenerates into trying to spot the next airvent you have to crawl through so you can get behind the sentry guns, too much maze crap. All 3 campaigns suffer from being gay and boring at the start. About 15-20 minutes go by on the marine campaign before you even encounter any enemies, the opening predator mission is a gay maze with plenty of jumping puzzles (WAY too many fucking jumping puzzles throughout the entire predator campaign), and you play the first 2 alien missions as a defenseless face hugger/chest burster; while amusing for a bit, by the halfhour mark it just gets tedious. Summation: -Stick with all campaigns past the initial boring as hell opening -The marine campaign rules -The predator campaign rules up until you encounter xenomorphs, at which point it sucks and never recovers. -Play the alien campaign if you really enjoy playing "hunt the airvent" and playing some bizzare anti-gravity version of Thief (wall climbing). Don't bother if youo're just out for shooting thrills.
